The Third Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference “Jesień Immunologiczna” was held at the University of Rzeszow on November 17-19, 2022, with SoftSystem, among others, as a partner and sponsor.
It was organized by the Students’ Association of Immunology and the Department of Human Immunology at the Institute of Medical Sciences of the College of Medical Sciences of the University of Rzeszów, the International Association of Medical Students IFMSA-Poland Rzeszów Branch, SCOME Edukacja Medyczna, IFMSA-Poland and ImmunoPoint.
This event is organized periodically and has an international scope. It is addressed to university students, doctoral students and resident physicians interested in broadly understood immunological issues.
Mr. Konrad Barnowski, a student of Medical Chemistry at the Jagiellonian University, won the prize funded by us. Congratulations!
"Research work in the exciting and extremely important field of immunology makes it possible to learn about the mechanisms of our body's fight against pathogens and cancer cells, as well as to search for the causes of autoimmune diseases and develop effective forms of therapy for chronic diseases. In a rapidly changing world, we can see the unique opportunities offered by modern medicine. Every day we witness the successes of scientists, thanks to which breakthroughs are being made. However, the question is not how far we have come or how much we have already achieved, but where we are headed. Therefore, through the ambitious pursuit of scientific progress and the development of new, even more effective drugs, the efforts of all researchers are ushering in a new era of immunology. This knowledge translates into quality and effectiveness of treatment, so this year, due to the interdisciplinary nature of our Conference, we would like to emphasize the role of immunology in the clinical practice of many specialties. We believe that the opportunity to exchange research results and to discuss with outstanding specialists and experts will enable the establishment and strengthening of cooperation between academic centers and contribute to the implementation of joint scientific projects."
